The role

The successful appointees will be responsible for undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate teaching including course coordination; research higher degree student supervision; research; and professional activities in the field of Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. As well as primarily contributing to further building the school's strength in biomedical engineering, motivated researchers will also have opportunities to apply their skills across all four focus domains of health, data, automation and energy.

The person

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and a distinguished record of scholarship in an appropriate discipline in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.  Evidence of strong commitments to cross-disciplinary collaborative research is required.  Experience in teaching at specialist levels and/or broader electrical engineering or computer science is desirable.  Solid foundations in mathematical signal and image processing with demonstrated record of innovation in domains such as magnetic resonance imaging, microwave or photonic sensing and/or imaging or similar discipline areas is expected.

Remuneration

There are two full-time continuing appointments available at Academic Level B or Level C.  Appointment level will be commensurate to qualficiations and experience.  The remuneration package will be in the range $89,459 - $106,232 per annum (Level B); and $109,587 - $126,360 per annum (Level C), plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $104,667 - $124,292 (Level B); $128,217 - $147,841 (Level C) per annum).
