The Future Talent Program features internships that last 10-12 weeks during the months of June-August, 2017. For the 2017 program, students who accept the internship positions are responsible for housing costs.
The Global Clinical Supply (GCS) group in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supply (PSCS) is responsible for managing an "end-to-end" integrated clinical supply chain for all Phase I-IV clinical programs and are accountable for delivery of specified clinical supplies to clinical sites aligned with diverse partner needs. This includes processing import transactions to facilitate Customs clearances for imports to the US.
One intern position is available in 2017 in the Global Clinical Supply groups based at our Rahway, NJ or West Point, PA sites. During your internship appointment you will work closely with an experienced pharmaceutical industry scientist on a research project with key tasks that include, but not limited to, the following:

Understanding where clinical supply demand originates
*
Aggregating product and material demand into forecasts
*
Understanding supply chain work center capacity and labor requirements
*
Translating forecasts into work center schedules
*
Tracking and managing schedule performance
*
Managing global and site inventory
*
Identifying Import clearance requirements
*
Interacting with a Global Trade Management system
Qualifications
Education:
- Full-time student pursuing a BS, MS or PhD degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, and other relevant disciplines

Returning to school in Fall 2017
Required:

Strong personal character and ethics
*
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
*
Excellent academic achievement and analytical ability
*
Good team player and ability to work independently
