Duties and responsibilities:

Lecture to undergraduate students

Handle student enquiries

Do research

Involvement in community engagement projects

Perform administrative duties

Inherent requirements:

Master’s degree in Psychology.

Registered as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

Proven experience in the delivery of poster or oral presentations at conference or equivalent activities.

Provide evidence of manuscripts produced that have potential to be converted or submitted for publication in accredited journals.

A good academic record.

Required Competencies:

Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s richly diverse working environment

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office

Recommendations

Willingness to enrol for a doctoral degree in Psychology at the first available opportunity, if not yet attained by the time of the appointment

Proven research record of relevant publications in accredited national journals

Interest / expertise in at least two of the following fields of studies; Psychopathology, Personality Psychology, or Research Methodology

Relevant teaching experience in higher education
