The University of Auckland in partnership with Waitemata District Health, recognise the importance of clinical research and academic leadership in Obstetrics in the North and West Auckland region. This role will bring together the strengths of both organizations to further strengthen a clinical and academic programme that will improve the health of our women, mothers and their babies.

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and Waitemata District Health Board are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with a clinical and research interest in obstetrics, based at Waitemata DHB.

Considering the scope of this role, it’s essential you are an obstetrician who is also passionate about research and research-led teaching. Your experience in research should be backed by an appropriate qualification (PhD, MD or equivalent) and the ability to obtain New Zealand medical registration.

This academic role, which is 0.4 FTE University and 0.4 FTE clinical, will be instrumental in helping to fulfil the mutual future aspirations.
