The University of Auckland, New Zealand’s leading University employs over 5400 academic and professional staff who support over 41,000 students to achieve their aspirations.  An engaging campus environment is key in helping students achieve academically, socially and personally, and safety on campus underpins all our activities.

You are arriving at an exciting time, where the University is embarking on a programme of work to replace the current identity (ID) and access cards. Combining the two current cards into a comprehensive ‘one card’ will improve current technology and processes, making it easier, better and safer for staff and students to access and benefit from the wide range of services available to them.

One of the key outcomes from the card programme will be the creation of a new centralised service delivery model and dedicated card office to own and manage the card lifecycle and future capability planning and delivery.  We are looking to recruit an Establishment Manager to support the implementation of a fit-for-purpose service delivery model and to be responsible for the creation of the end-to-end card office design. The Establishment Manager has a varied and critical role.

Success will be measured through your ability to develop the new function from project set-up to business as usual, working closely with the programme team and current ID and access card administrators, you will work to translate our agreed service delivery model components: performance, capability and value into a new centralised model that will be a seamless, secure experience for card support staff and cardholders alike. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a sustainable difference.

Ideally you will tertiary qualified in a business related discipline and be an experienced leader in establishing a Campus Card Office within a large multifaceted organisation across service management. Candidates who can provide expertise across governance (policy, roadmaps and prioritisation); service placement and operating models; process design; technology enablement (service levels and service management) and the skills and resource required to succeed will be strongly considered.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a confident decision making style, interpersonal resilience and the ability to engage across diverse stakeholders is paramount. This prgramme is working to tight timeframes, so we are calling for any expressions of interest in the role ASAP.

The University has an equity policy and welcomes applications from all qualified persons.

The University is committed to meeting its obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi and achieving equity outcomes for staff and students.

Applications close: Sunday 11th December 2016
