- Generate, screen and characterize specific antibody reagents for immunoassays such as MSD, Luminex and AlphaLISA assays to monitor serological immune responses to support Merck vaccine programs.

- Support vaccine immunogenicity assay development, validation, and pre-clinical/clinical sample testing of to support Merck vaccine programs.

- Ensure GLP compliance. Support study protocol and assay validation report preparation. Address QA findings and observations.

Qualifications

Education:

- BA/BS Degree in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline, with at least 7 years of related experience, OR MS degree in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline with at least 4 years of related experience, OR Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline.

- Experience in monoclonal antibody generation technology platforms including phage or yeast display is required.

- Experience in development, optimization, validation and execution of immunoassay and cell-based assay for immunogenicity/biomarker evaluations of biologics/vaccines in pharmaceutical/biotechnology or CRO industry.

- Experience working in a regulated environment is required; familiar with GLP guidelines related to vaccine clinical testing.

- Capable of working independently under moderate supervision and possess good communication skills (written and verbal).

- Ability to openly share information and work in a team setting.

Preferred:

- Experience in protein expression and protein purification in E. coli or mammalian cells is preferred
