Post-Doctoral Scientist Position

100% time, appointment 1-5 years
Required: Ph.D. in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Preferred: Experience in generation and analysis of microbiome datasets, including amplicon sequencing or other ‘omics approaches.
Responsibilities: The postdoctoral scientist in this position will help to develop an international research coordination network of Agricultural Microbiome scientists. In this non-traditional position, the post-doctoral scientist will play a primary role in communication, coordination, workshop development, and publications within an NSF-funded Agricultural Microbiome Research Coordinated Network.
(25%) Participate in the design, implementation, and development of an international research coordination network.
(15%) Collect, coordinate, and analyze data.
(25%) Author or co-author, or otherwise collaborate on research papers, reports, conference papers and publications.
(20%) Coordinate communication, data-sharing, and networking among network members, including website management and support.
(15%) Partner with researchers to organize 5 international workshops to advance research in agricultural microbiomes.
