Do you have a PhD in Immunology or Molecular Biology?
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship in the research group of Dr Ed Vital to work on cutaneous lupus.You will work on different projects dealing with the stratification of inflammatory skin diseases. Your work will include functional studies, in vitro skin equivalents and 3d co-cultures.
You must be able to work independently and be able to demonstrate project management skills. Due to the intensive, time-limited nature of this work, you will need to have direct experience of work in skin biology.
You will hold a PhD in immunology or molecular biology with extensive research experience in working with human skin and in particular in laser capture micro-dissection of skin biopsies and co-culture of human skin cell types.
The post is available immediately for 9 months. You will work at Chapel Allerton Hospital and the Wellcome Trust Brenner Building at St James University Hospital.
