Job Details
This study aims to improve our understanding of the mechanisms governing platelet activity and that of drugs used in acute coronary syndromes complementing ongoing work assessing how antiplatelet therapies affect platelet signalling in patient cohorts. This research may lead to the development of more effective and safer drugs for the treatment and prevention of cardiac disease or make for a more informed use of pre-existing therapies.
To undertake this work you should have a strong interest in receptor and platelet biology with practical experience of cell and molecular biology.
