Lead Engineer - Ultrasound NDE Job
A successful candidate will lead
-Research work independently and in cross-functional teams
-Develop and execute short-term & long-term research programs in industrial inspection.
-He/She will be responsible for developing IP strategy, guiding team members, preparing patent disclosures, helping to solve critical short-term problems, managing and expanding research collaboration.
-PhD degree in Physics/Engineering or Masters degree with 3 year experience
-Strong in-depth knowledge of conventional and advanced Ultrasound NDE including ultrasound principles, probes and applications
-Hands-on experience with ability to set up and run experiments. Background on hardware and basic instrumentation is essential.
-Demonstrated ability to formulate, plan and conduct research projects with specific objectives and milestones with financial constraints.
-Demonstrated ability to work in team-oriented research environment.
-Strong project management skills, analytical skills, innovative thinking and communications skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
-3 years of Industry experience in ultrasound/ultrasonic NDE. -Background in developing ultrasound physics using theoretical models and simulation packages (ABAQUS, ANSYS, COMSOL) -Background in developing techniques for conventional and special applications which includes development of probe, system and data analysis methods. -Strong background and experience on guided wave UT. -Background in basic UT signal processing methods. -Background in applications such as inspections of castings, forgings, pipelines, composites, complex shapes and large area parts. -Field experience in using ultrasound NDE/NDT products is a plus.
