To lead the implementation of sales strategies and customer plans to achieve global sales objectives for European Sales of a fast growing service provider for the Clinical Research sector. To position the company to win a significant proportion of outsourced projects from assigned customer(s) and to develop/grow the European market in France, Italy and Spain.

 

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a

Business Development Director

Location: ideally France but potentially Italy.


Main Responsibilities:
Increases European market penetration that is measured by an increase in new contact meetings, RFP activity, proactive proposal submissions and win rate

Obtains requests for proposals

Aggressively pursues awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards for assigned customers

Openly communicates with internal Project Managers to assess the overall level of customer satisfaction and progress of projects
Represents the Company at trade shows and professional conferences as necessary

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in biological/scientific discipline

·         Minimum of 3 years direct sales experience in the European market of which 2 years must be in a CRO

·         Experience managing global accounts

·         Financial skills: delivering business results in a commercial environment; budgeting, financial planning and reporting

·         Fluent French language skills with a very good command of the English language.
