This global pharmaceutical company is currently focusing on expansion into new markets to support their long term ambitions. To support this expansion, the company is now looking for an exceptional individual who will provide a wide range of legal advice and support to the EMEA & Russia business.
You are a qualified English solicitor or barrister, or a lawyer qualified in another jurisdiction, with a good degree and relevant post qualification experience in advising on a wide variety of matters in the pharmaceutical sector gained either in a broad-based legal practice or in-house.
A logical and structured thinker, with a thorough understanding of English contract law, you will be fluent in English (both oral and written). In addition, you will ideally have experience in advising on expansion into new territories, particularly Africa and/or the Middle East. Ability in another language, relevant to the region, would be an advantage.
Liaising closely with your commercial colleagues, you will advise on commercial partnerships with distributors and other third parties, undertake due diligence, actively participate in negotiations and create the contracts that will be pivotal to future success.
Externally, you will work with the company’s General Counsel to select, appoint and instruct outside counsel and will interact with regulatory service providers and distributors; internally, you will work closely with the rest of the legal team and compliance, internal audit and intellectual property colleagues. The office environment and atmosphere encourage mutual support and teamwork, so this is not a place where you will work in isolation.
