Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure that scope is defined and project plans implemented in accordance with the GE Healthcare (GEHC) project methodology, through proposal scoping and through project start up, execution and completion.
Responsible for entire project life cycle.
Define and determine specific roles and responsibilities for each project member.
Provide hands-on project management and actively manage project plan, deliverables, dependencies and outcome for selected project(s).
Ensure that the project goals and objectives are achieved within the project timeframe and guidelines established by the relevant stakeholders and management committees.
Obtain approval from key client stakeholders when project is completed and assign closure to projects.
Monitor preparation of communication plans and related project status reports to key stakeholders and governance bodies (as appropriate) to provide project updates on activities and deliverables.
Manage overall change control processes and quality assurance aspects of project.
Identify and manage overall project dependencies and ensure that project deliverables stay on-time, on-target and on-budget.
Define and manage overall project risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with project constituents and stakeholders.
Identify on a timely basis all project barriers and identify strategies to overcome these barriers.
Complete and manage project activities using GEHC standard project management process and approach to ensure a consistent approach to project completion with other similar projects within the organization.
Use of computer-based project management tools/software to direct and manage large-scale projects.
Active management of customer satisfaction and customer quality requirements and issues.
Assure compliance and adherence with customer guidelines and GEHC process and policy requirements.
Participate in professional Trade Shows and regional meetings as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
University degree in engineering, IT, science or other analytic-focused degree.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant demonstrated hands-on project management experience with increasing responsibility preferably in large complex enterprise projects.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects from initiation to closure.
Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic multiple project environment as well as the proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, taking into consideration conflicting priorities and business interests.
Excellent communications and presentation skills as well as adequate financial skills are a must.
Excellent negotiations/conflict/issue resolution skills.
Passionate about growth and innovation, have a customer-focused attitude and excellent change management and relationship building skills.
Proven ability to work and lead independently in a team environment across multiple organization levels, and multi-task effectively.
Ability to identify and focus team members on project tasks critical to successful project completion.
Ability to work with team members to analyze problems quickly and logically in order to develop effective solutions and corrective actions while managing conflict.
Global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
Experience with MS Project software along with the MS Office product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Program will include multiple phases across Alberta so flexibility of work hours is essential, and willingness to travel is required.

Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute a plus.
Alberta Healthcare industry and/or clinical experience would be a definite asset.
