Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements for software platform product.
  • Responsible for platform product roadmap and maintain complete requirements backlog. Work with platform architects, business architects, solution architects, engineering and business stakeholders to define product roadmap.
  • Responsible for product releases. Drive planning and execution of product release processes to ensure successful and on time product release.
  • Provide detailed guidance to engineering and QA resources, as well as functional and technical documentation to ensure the right product is delivered with each release.
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining the product requirement document; responsible for maintaining detailed product specifications.
  • Act as product evangelist. Manage internal and external communication of product capabilities, release plans, and value proposition. Organize and provide product demonstration and presentations to various stakeholders, customers or prospects.
  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degrees in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of software product management experience, including a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software development life cycle. Product management experience in platform software products preferred.
  • Technical domain knowledge in software platform products required.
  • Understanding of complete software development lifecycle. Experience with Agile-based software development process.
  • Very strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and document product requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product roadmap and releases working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

    Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA degree with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience in software development life cycle.
  • Experience in either software architecture, software marketing, or software engineering preferred.
