Ecotoxicology Manager Terrestrial/Aquatic - South East
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Ecotoxicology Laboratory Manager to join a leading analytical contract organisation based in the South East of England. As an organisation their focus is on providing innovative and first class analytical services to a range of industries including the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. As the Ecotoxicology Lab Manager you will join the Ecotox Department and you will be responsible for managing a team of 6 terrestrial and aquatic ecotoxicologists. Within this varied role you will offer technical expertise to set-up a range of study designs and to define requirements to support chemical analysis. You will be expected to work to a range of GLP guidelines such as OECD/US EPA OPPTS. The successful candidate will also act as a Study Director/Principle Investigator on studies for aquatic ecotoxicology and as a leader in the section you will devise strategy to grow the ecotox department and manage the development of staff.
To be considered for this role you must be educated to a minimum of a BSc in a relevant scientific subject, with the ideal candidate being educated to PhD level. This educational background will be coupled with at least 2 years management experience within industry. Candidates must possess a strong ecotoxicology background in terrestrial or ideally aquatic studies. You must also be familiar in working in a GLP environment to OECD/US EPA OPPTS/JMAFF guidelines. Due to occasional travel that will be involved you must hold a full UK driving licence.
