Volt Life Sciences is recruiting on behalf of one of its leading Pharmaceutical clients for an Analytical Chemist to be based out of their site which develops a number of world famous nutrition brands.
Main duties:
*To assist and support the delivery of new products, claims and technology development programmes that contribute to the growth requirements of the Business using chemical analysis
*Works with the Senior Analytical Scientist to explore technologies / methodologies and analytical method development to deliver the agreed programme on time and on budget
*Create and maintain Excellent Working Relationships within the Nutritionals Business as well as other key functions and external bodies
*To provide effective Scientific & Technical Stewardship for the Nutritional Healthcare Business in support of the business purpose of Helping People Enjoy Active Lives
Key Requirements:
*An Analyst with a BSc in Chemistry or related field
*Laboratory work includes analysis of stability samples to assist and support the delivery of new products
*LIMS experience an advantage. Enter and report results using LIMS
*Role also involves documentation, inputting analytical data into production dossiers and updating COSHH assessments.
*Experience in a wide range of analytical techniques, HPLC, GC-MS and Wet chemistry is desirable. Assist in development and validation of methods.
*An ability to work unsupervised, set own priorities to meet deadlines and work within a small team
*Conducts all work following the principles of good scientific practice (always) and Good Laboratory Practice (where required).
