Essential Responsibilities:
(1) Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams on a wide variety of research programs for GE businesses
(2) Work in a team to design and implement analytical approaches to enable process analysis/monitoring, mechanism study, root-cause analysis and quality evaluation
(3) Perform on new analytical method development and validation for complex analytical challenges with emphasis on chromatography and mass spectrograph, using various methods and instruments including LC-MS, GC-MS, GPC, IR, NMR, etc
(4) Responsible for reporting, interpreting and communicating analysis results on a frequent basis. Participate in new equipment/capability planning for growth
(5) Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) responsibilities
Qualifications/Requirements:
(1) PhD in chemistry (analytical chemistry preferred), polymer science & engineering with 3 years of post-degree experiences in relevant areas.
(2) Proven technical expertise in organic analysis and separation science with strong hands-on experience in chromatograph and mass spectrograph
(3) Must have passion to conduct research activities in analytical chemistry
(4) Self-motivated, team-player, and quick learner
(5) Clear thinking, strong priority/time management skills to be able to work effectively/efficiently on multiple research projects simultaneously with multi-functional teams
(6) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
(7) Fluent oral and written communication in English & Chinese
(8) Experience in organic analysis of environmental/water system is a plus
