Senior Drug Safety Officer - South East - Healthcare

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacovigilance / Drug Safety professional to be part of a Global leading Healthcare Company as a Senior Pharmacovigilance Officer based in Surrey in the South East of England.

This rapidly expanding organization provides a range of services and products to a wide range of customers throughout Europe to improve people's lives. This role is a brand new role offering exciting challenges and a chance to make a real difference.

As Senior Drug Safety Officer you will report to the European Technical Director with the main focus of project managing key elements within their Global Pharmacovigilance system, coordinating the activities performed by the European business units and their third party drug safety service providers to ensure legal obligations are fulfilled. Furthermore, you will have the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

*Develop company safety information
*Manage the review of Assessment Reports issued for those products which are part of the PSUR work sharing scheme.
*Develop and implement in collaboration with the European business units, appropriate global procedures, working practices and process improvements.
*Manage the existing database and review PSUR's prepared by third party PV
*Co-ordinate the central pharmacovigilance training requirements of the local European business units.
*Ensure all Pharmacovigilance agreements are in place and maintained across the European business units.
*Participate in European Business audits and be responsible for ensuring a corrective action plan is implemented.
*Ensure the correct implementation of the incident reports
*Lead the PV monthly operational meetings.

The role will require you to possess a relevant scientific degree, preferably a degree in Pharmacy. You should have direct experience in Drug Safety within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry and well as a good knowledge or experience of European Pharmacovigilance legislations. You must be fluent in English as well as speak another European language. You should be an organized, proactive, results driven, positive, confident and motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, project management skills and problem solving skills.
