Job Summary:

My client, a leading global pharmaceutical corporation, is looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join a group of scientist working within the Development laboratories. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large multi-national pharmaceutical company, developing on an individual basis, as well as working with a team.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Executing assigned analytical programmes; including formulated and unformulated pharmaceutical substances to be used in preclinical and clinical studies
Maintenance of laboratory analytical equipment and laboratory records
Work within and maintain laboratory records to current cGMP requirements
Work within current Environmental Health Standards and guidelines

Required Experience:

Minimum 4 years' industrial experience working within a cGMP environment, those with less will not be considered for this position.
Experience with HPLC, including commercial chromatography data acquisition software
Experience of analytical method development, validation and transfer

Essential Skills & Capabilities:

Degree in chemistry or a relevant scientific discipline
Able to work alone, with minimal supervision
Understand cGMP requirements with a QC Laboratory
Experienced in writing reports, REDs, CMC sections and SOPs.
Highly self-motivated
Work accurately and efficiently under time pressure to ensure deadlines are met
Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
Systematically troubleshoot problems and make appropriate decisions
Demonstrate initiative; working towards continuous improvement activities
