The Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute (TMII) at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, is moving in Q1 2013 to a new 30,000 square foot facility in the Leon and Norma Hess Center for Science and Medicine. The new Institute will manage a variety of Siemens systems including: a whole-body 7T actively shielded MR scanner, fully integrated simultaneous MR(3T)/PET mMR system, 3T MR scanner and a novel CT scanner based on a clinical dual-source CT system concept with one counting detector and one conventional CT detector. In addition, TMII will have access to the following Siemens systems that will be managed by the Department of Radiology: 1.5T MR Aera scanner, 3T MR Skyra scanner, PET/CT(64) Biograph mCT, and multidetector CT Somatom Definition Flash, along with other microimaging equipment.
We are currently seeking a faculty member at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (depending upon qualifications), to develop a leading interdisciplinary research program in human cancer imaging focused on MRI. Working closely with faculty from the Department of Radiology and the Tish Cancer Institute, as well as other clinical and basic science departments, you will be expected to develop and sustain an independent cancer imaging research program.
This position requires a PhD degree and/or MD degree in the related fields.
