THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within the Environmental Services Unit in a customer facing role, you will work as a Study Director within Ecotoxicology

Responsible for performing a broad level of Ecotoxicology studies on both aquatic and terrestrial systems.

These include both acute and chronic tests.

Ensuring studies are conducted to GLP principles and report writing.

Responsible for setting up the facility to perform testing on higher plant species.

Working with departmental strategy will be an important part of this role.

As a Study Director you will have responsibility to ensure that aquatic and terrestrial studies are carried out to the necessary regulations and guidelines required for the registration of plant protection products, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

With customers you will be the point of study control and have overall responsibility for the scientific, technical and regulatory conduct of studies. You will also be responsible for the interpretation, documentation and reporting of results. Close and regular liaison with the Client would be a major part of the role. QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a BSC in Science (Environmental, Agricultural, Biology, Chemistry or related areas).

Aquatic, GLP and Ecotoxicology experience is essential.

Commercial experience or consultancy experience preferred but again not a core request to have.

Ability to work in a challenging, high pressured working environment with initiative, pro-activeness and drive.
