The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System is recruiting a full-time academic Pediatric/Emergency Medicine (EM) Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor/Physician with dual board certification or Pediatric board certification plus EM fellowship training. This position can be tenured/tenured track or non tenured. The successful applicant will play a leadership role in growing a pediatric EM clinical and educational program that spans four Chicago hospitals. Specific responsibilities encompass quality and process improvement, healthcare integration, department design, professional development of pediatric and emergency medicine residents and fellows, competency assessment, outreach and community growth. Applicants with a research background in health outcomes or disparities (e.g. asthma, sickle cell disease, toxicology) will be strongly considered. Research efforts focus on the identification and elimination of community health disparities through patient focused, time-sensitive care and preventive emergency medicine.
