Scientific Mechanical Engineer - Cambridgeshire - Product Development
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer? Have you successfully designed and created a range of commercial technologies? One of the leading Scientific Consultancy Firms, in the world, are currently looking for a number of Mechanical Engineers to work closely with the R&D Divisions in the creation of exciting new technologies that will make major impacts in the scientific sectors.
You will get to work on a whole range of scientific fields including micro-mechanical, electro-mechanical, piezoeletronics, fluidic, optical and many other fields. You will be working within an established team of Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Physicists and Electronics Engineers. This means you will have a group of well respected peers to learn from to develop your industry knowledge.
To be successful in this role you must already have a proven track working on the mechanical design of successful scientific projects, ideally in industry on fluidics, structures, materials, dynamics, physics or thermodynamics. If you have not worked on the mechanical design of scientific products previously you cannot be considered for this role.
You will be working within a team of industry experts and physicists, due to this it is expected that you hold a 1st or 2:1 degree, ideally in a Mechanical Engineering or Physics discipline, from a Russell Group University. It would also be ideal if you hold a PhD but not essential.
This role will allow you to work on some of the most complicated engineering problems in the world of science, people who work in this type of role find it very rewarding as they are learning new things every day. It will be ideal if you have an established track record in solving technical problems on scientific devices.
