An environmental testing organisation based in Hertfordshire are currently seeking two GC-MS Analysts to join their Pesticides Analysis Laboratory. Reporting into the Laboratory Manager, you will be working within a growing team of analysts to test products for the presence of small molecules, in addition to method development and validation with the analytical equipment.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Analysis of a range of samples using GC-MS in a high throughput environment.
·Improving current analytical methods using GC-MS, developing and validating new methods.
·Working within the analytical team to ensure all targets are met within tight deadlines.
·Troubleshooting of existing processes and equipment.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in chemistry or a similar subject. Proven experience using GC-MS to analyse environmental samples is essnetial. The ability to work in a high-throughput environment is also essential, as is the ability to work and solve problems independently. Experience of using GC-MS to identify pesticides would be beneficial.
