The Company:
We partner with a highly professional and well respected Medical Education and Communications Agency based in Kent.  They are a dynamic, experienced and scientifically focused team offering strategic communications, advocacy development, publication planning, event management, product training, design services and e-healthcare to a range of pharmaceutical companies across the UK and Europe.

The Role:
The Scientific Team Leader will report directly to the Director of Scientific Services with the purpose of managing the medical writing team and the resources for assigned accounts.  Responsibilities including:
    Day-to-day line management of designated medical writers
    To work closely with the Director, Scientific Services and account team to manage the writer resourcing of designated accounts
    To provide scientific and strategic input into both new and existing accounts, in particular playing a key role in the development of publications strategy, and in the pitching process
    Responsible for writing and/or editing the whole range of projects undertaken, generally without guidance from other members of the writing team.
    The Scientific Team Leader is also expected to facilitate completion of all projects, from first draft through to final page proofs.

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the skills outlined, including:
    Ability to rapidly assimilate scientific expertise in a given therapy area, and communicate this to both internal and external clients
    Good awareness of marketing and ability to develop scientific strategy and incorporate it into written materials
    Excellence in writing and editorial skills
    Excellent project and personnel management skills
    Excellent presentation/communication skills
    BSc (MSc) or PhD or other relevant experience
    High level of scientific expertise across a number of therapy areas
    Previous experience of developing communications strategy
    High level of client service experience from pitch, project meeting and event attendance
