Lecturer

Duties:
- Developing and teaching a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
- Conducting appropriate research;
- Supervision of postgraduate students;
- Performing relevant administrative and committee duties;
- Active participation in the Department's research initiatives and community involvement.
Required:
- A doctorate in English literature/literary-cultural studies (or proof of near completion);
- Experience in teaching at university level;
- Appropriate communication skills;
- Evidence of published research.
Teaching and research expertise in:
- Blended learning;
- Life writing/literary journalism/creative writing;
- African literatures (not South African literature);
- Gender studies.
