Job Details

The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) birth cohort study, also known as Children of the 90s, is seeking to recruit a Data Migration Developer within the Data Team.

ALSPAC has accumulated a vast amount of data over the 25 years since its inception, much of which is laboratory data. It will be the Data Migration Developer’s role to transfer this data from existing structures into newly developed systems. This will entail working with the laboratory staff and the data team to get an understanding of the complex, multi-faceted legacy data.

The postholder will be required to collaborate with the Biobank developer in order to understand the structure of the new system and will take a lead in planning the migration path, develop any required software, testing, and migrating legacy data into the new structure.

For informal enquiries please contact: Hugh Garner, Hugh.Garner@bristol.ac.uk or Nick Wells, nick.wells@bristol.ac.uk.
