The Role 

The Leeds Institute of Health Sciences wishes to appoint a part-time Lecturer in Family Therapy. The post holder will contribute to teaching, clinical supervision and the development of the family therapy programme at Foundation, Intermediate and MSc level. Contributions to the development of research in any area of Family Therapy will also be expected.

 

The Candidate

Applicants should be qualified Family Therapists, have working experience as a Family Therapist and be eligible for registration with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. Successful candidates will have substantial experience of clinical practice with families in either the NHS, private or voluntary sector and have previous experience of postgraduate teaching or agency based systemic teaching. An Association for Family Therapy & Systemic Practice (AFT) registered supervisor qualification will also be an advantage. Although the focus of this role is teaching, the post holder will be required to continue to maintain their practice as a Clinical Family Therapist for the duration of this appointment.
