The successful candidate will be part of one of the most successful Mechanical Engineering departments in the UK, with over 1000 students (UG, PGT and PGR) and 64 academic staff.
The post holder will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of teaching materials and programmes; therefore a familiarity with different strategies to promote learning and a demonstrable interest in enthusing and engaging students is desirable.
This position is key to the development of Engineering Management education across the Faculty of Engineering. You should therefore have:
- the ability to take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of teaching programmes, developing curricula and appropriate assessment techniques.
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required as well as experience of working across Departments and Teams to plan and progress projects.
- a PhD in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
We are looking for an active and successful Engineering Design teacher, and welcome applications both from individuals with a track record of engineering design research (Senior Lecturer) and from those who have extensive professional experience in this field (Senior University Teacher).
