Job Details
The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH), within the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, develops and applies epidemiological, statistical and biomathematical methods to advance innovation, validation, and application in the field of public health. In our Biostatistics Unit, we are seeking interested candidates for the following Position Java web developer
The Role:
- You will develop health information systems and web-based interfaces combining data entry and quering of geospatial health data with interactive mapping capabilities on Google Earth or related software.
- You will join a multi-disciplinary team that pursues research in advanced statistical modelling and Bayesian computation, applied in the area of malaria, neglected infectious diseases, mortality and cancer epidemiology.
The Profile:
- 2+ years of experience with Java
- AngularJS/Javascript knowledge or willingness to learn
- Spring framework knowledge or willingness to learn
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
The position is based in Basel, Switzerland.
