Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer: Human Capital Management and Leadership

As part of its strategic growth plan, the University of Stellenbosch Business School (which falls under the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences) is seeking to recruit full-time faculty members. The School is one of the top providers of internationally accredited programmes in South Africa.  The School enjoys the status of AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA international accreditations - reserved for only a few schools in the world. The position is available on Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer level, according to experience.

Research is a particular priority for the School, which is in the process of building clusters of international research relevant to its mission of being a "knowledge partner of Africa in the world and for the world in Africa". Hence applicants with a high research track record and potential have an advantage. 

Duties

• Developing and delivering academic content in Human Capital Management and Leadership (especially on the PhD, MBA and Postgraduate Diploma programmes);
• Supervising postgraduate research at PhD and MBA levels;
• Contributing to research and international publications;
• Participating in the administration of some departmental activities;
• Promotion of inclusivity at USB.

Senior Lecturer:

• PhD in the area of Human Capital Management/Leadership with a strong development focus;
• An established research track, with publications in accredited subject journals, together with further development potential;
• Lecturing experience on post-graduate level.

Additional requirements Associate Professor:

• Proven national and international research record;
• Experience of supervising postgraduate students;
• Experience in a senior leadership role and willingness to act in such a role.
