Job Details

The School of Social and Community Medicine seeks to appoint able and enthusiastic Lecturers in Qualitative Health Science applied to randomised trials. The Lecturers will contribute to teaching within the School and Faculty, including supervision of postgraduate students, and to the administration of the School in accordance with School policies.

The Lecturers will join the QuinteT (Qualitative research Integrated within Trials) team to continue the refinement of the Quintet Recruitment Intervention (QRI) in its two major formats, and develop new methods and approaches that contribute to optimising recruitment and informed participation through QRIs.

They will deliver existing and develop further collaborations with Principal Investigators and Clinical Trials Units, develop new proposals for QRIs embedded in feasibility studies or main RCTs or introduced into established RCTs with recruitment difficulties, develop new methods and approaches that will contribute to optimising recruitment and informed participation in RCTs, and develop and extend training for clinical and research staff. In addition, the Lecturers will develop their own research interests in collaboration with staff in the School and Faculty, and will be supported in developing leadership roles by their line manager, Professor Jenny Donovan.
