The postholder will work on a project is funded through a grant from the Brain Tumour Charity in order to understand the reasons why some adult patients take longer than others to be diagnosed with a brain tumour and what might be the best way to reduce this delay so that treatment begins sooner and is more effective. The post provides an excellent opportunity for a highly numerate research assistant/associate to work on a program of work based within the School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol but collaborating with colleagues in Edinburgh and Exeter.

The post-holder will work with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers (neurology, neurosurgery, primary care, epidemiology, health economics) to conduct a range of statistical analyses and will be involved in presenting the findings and writing up the results for publication.
