It is an exciting time to join the Business School and this position will play a crucial role in delivering the Business School strategy.

The Centre of Excellence in Decision Analytics and Risk Research (CEDARR) is a large group of highly research-active staff and around 45 PhD students. Research expertise covers a wide range of areas including Management Science, Risk, Knowledge and Information Systems Management, Operations and Project Management, and contains two internationally renowned research groups: CORMSIS (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/cormsis) and CRR (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/risk). The Centre boasts extensive links with industry, offering around 35 industrial placement projects per year to MSc students.

The Business School is looking to further strengthen its expertise in Operations Management. Successful applicants will have research interests in the more qualitative aspects of the subject, but will be expected to contribute to the teaching of BSc and MSc programmes across the school in the area of Operations Management and related subjects. You should have a PhD or equivalent, and should be able to demonstrate a high-quality research track record, the potential to obtain research funding and have clear plans for future research activity.  Previous applicants need not apply.
