Job Purpose

The Project Manager will undertake work specified in the EU Horizon 2020 Project PANINI (Physical Activity and Nutrition Influences In ageing). The Project Manager will be expected to support the Project Coordinator in management and administrative tasks, including day-to-day project management, organisation of project and review meetings, financial monitoring, preparation of financial reports, submission of periodic reports, liaison with project partners and the European Commission on administrative matters. The project manager will interface with a team of university administrators dedicated to Horizon 2020.

Person Specification

High calibre candidate educated to degree level or equivalent
P•revious experience in administration of EU-funded projects is highly desirable
•Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Excel and Word)
Strong ability to create, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheets and to understand and interpret the information contained in them
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent analytical skills (financial, situational and organisational) accompanied by strong risk assessment and mitigation abilities, e.g. ability to independently identify potential issues as well as propose and implement solutions
Good financial management skills including the ability to understand complex budgets and work with a range of currencies
Ability to deliver on tight deadlines and good time management skills
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
