The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences have a longstanding reputation for providing allied health services in its work-integrated learning environment. The Clinics offers Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology services to adult and paediatric populations. Our clinics incorporate holistic and interprofessional patient-centered care with well-established administrative support.

This role is instrumental in the development of the next generation of Audiology practitioners and will offer you the opportunity to provide leadership and direction in clinical education.

The role

The role of Clinical Educator - Audiology is responsible for facilitating the translation of Audiology theory to practice with individual students in clinical practice. The position will collaborate with the clinical and academic team to grow and develop our holistic audiological service  with a focus on rehabilitative audiology. The position will balance client needs with student learning and will have currency of clinical practice and clinical education experience.

The person

Applicants must possess a degree in Audiology with subsequent relevant experience and demonstrate recent clinical professional practice and clinical education experience.  Applicants are required to hold or be eligible for membership of Audiology Australia, hold a current Certificate of Clinical Practice and possess/be eligible for a Blue card and Medicare provider number.

Applicants should have experience to demonstrate readiness as a practitioner and educator within our large multi-disciplinary facility.  The ideal applicant will have the capacity to facilitate the provision of services in a broad range of clinical environments. A working knowledge of clinical education issues and an enthusiasm for teaching are essential.

Remuneration

This is a full time, 2 year fixed term appointment at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $79,498.69 to $86,950.63 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $93,013.46 to $105,056.87 p.a.).
