Job Details
To teach according to a set syllabus and support the Department and Faculty to achieve its academic objectives as well as contributing to its academic initiatives undertaken by the faculty to enhance our teaching and learning environment
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A Masters' Degree in Industrial Design (A Doctoral Degree will be an added advantage)
- At least two (2) years' teaching experience
- At least three (3) years' industry experience as an Industrial Designer or equivalent
- Proven research skills in the field of Industrial Design
- Proven skills in Digital literacy
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Lecturing undergraduate students
- Contribute to curriculum development and assessment
- Contributing to team success
- Academic Administration and Development
- Evaluating learning experiences in the field of Industrial Design
- Community engagement: Contribute to community initiatives in the department/faculty
- Academic Management: Set annual objectives pertaining to academic programmes
- Contribute to Quality Assurance
- Research: Participate in research activities in the department/faculty and conduct appropriate research especially in the area of Industrial Design
- Teaching: Compile subject guides, develop learning materials, consult regularly with students and use appropriate methods including blackboard, for the delivery of course contents and management of assessments
