Trainee Radiographer

Radiographer Department at Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) Radiology Department at Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is equipped with latest technology for X-rays, ultrasound and special procedures for diagnosis. Trainee Radiographer is a 2 years traineeship programme which develops fresh graduates in the technologically advanced field of imaging and radiography.

Responsibilities

Trainees will have the opportunity to learn and work on the most advanced general Radiography imaging systems including Computed & Digital Radiography. They would also be oriented in MRI (1.5 & 3-Tesla machines), CT (64 slice and new state-of-the-art 640 Slice), Vascular Intervention Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Trainees will attend didactic session and rotate in modalities as per schedule. They will also observe and perform routine procedures under supervision as part of their learning.

Selected trainees will be given monthly stipend and upon successful completion of the traineeship, they may be offered employment opportunities.

Requirements

Interested candidates must have:

• B.Sc. with Matriculation in science stream subjects should include Biology

• strong interpersonal skills

• ability to operate computer based technology and should possess basic computer skills
