Job Details
The Examination Board was established by Aga Khan University in August 2003 in accordance with Ordinance CXIV of the Government of Pakistan to offer examination services for both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC).
Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager, Curriculum, you will be directly responsible for the syllabi and exam preparation in the relevant discipline. You should be passionate about education and be effective and inspiring teacher, as the role offers the opportunity to teach disciplinary specific workshops for teachers and students. An important initial task will be contributing to revising the current syllabi. There is an opportunity for training and development in the area of test preparation, item writing, assessment, etc.
Requirements
You must have:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science discipline
- at least three years teaching experience in SSC/ HSSC level
- a passion for preparing students for tertiary education and an understanding of the continuum of education
- understanding of how curricula and teaching can develop and exams can test critical thinking and reasoning skills in students
- fluency in English and Urdu
- ability to represent the Exam Board to schools, students, parents
- unwavering commitment to quality and integrity in all aspects of the work of the Exam Board
- commitment to and skills to working as part of a curriculum and exam preparation team.
