Associate or Assistant Professor, Transplant Urologist

The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.

Responsibilities

You will lead the renal transplant programme and develop protocols of management for safe and effective care of renal transplant donors and recipients. He/she will have independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities

Requirements

You must have completed a structured postgraduate training programme from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, Intercollegiate FRCS (UK), American Board or equivalent qualification in Urology. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of association as consultant transplant surgeon at a high volume renal transplant center in a university based teaching set-up.

Applicants for Associate Professor should have at least 8 years of teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized University or postgraduate institution, with 5 years’ post-terminal experience of teaching and a minimum of 10 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC with at least 4 of these publications in the last 5 years. Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least 2 years’ experience as Senior Instructor or equivalent.
