Medical Intellectual Property Contract Manager

At the University of Sheffield we take a new, holistic approach to the development of our Intellectual Property (IP) to give effect to our strategy in support of our academic community developing new ideas and exciting engagement opportunities flexibly and pragmatically.

This role is to craft IP based opportunities in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work alongside our highly regarded Sheffield Healthcare Gateway team to develop commercial ideas, structure and manage plans for the development of the varied medical solutions being developed. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in a number of functions relating to the commercialisation of the University’s IP.

You will have a good honours degree or equivalent experience in a medicine, dentistry, health or science based subject, an understanding of IP formalities and project management experience. An expert understanding and successful track record of ‘hands on’ IP commercialisation, to include experience of negotiating and closing IP licence deals, is also essential to this role.
