This position is responsible, as part of the Segment Strategy team, for assisting in driving sustained growth in the Pharmaceutical market segment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Food and Pharmaceutical Markets, the Associate Business Analyst will principally:
- Analyze trends in Environmental Health pharmaceutical sales data and recommend additional analysis or actions
- Track emerging needs in the pharmaceutical segment through external research and analysis
- Assess competitor offerings in the pharmaceutical market and recommend PerkinElmer product improvements
- Collect qualitative customer needs and trends information by web research and interfacing with the PerkinElmer sales team
- Interface with Product Line Leaders globally to ascertain geographical customer needs and trends
- Evaluate and understand internal and external pharmaceutical markets. Assist in interfacing with product management to ensure business cases and user requirements adequately reflect the views of the pharmaceutical market and customers
- Conduct research to understand pharmaceutical trends and identify KOLs
- Assist in identifying strategic pharmaceutical accounts and interface with regional sales to maximize global sales
- Collect global feedback from Product Line Leaders internationally and synthesize global trends
- Must possess analytical, strategic, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and incorporate required functions to delivery viable and profitable new offerings
- Experience with quantitative analysis and ability to present and explain data in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency with Excel and graphical PowerPoint presentations
- Appetite for learning new skills and information
