Regulatory Compliance Officer - WEEE and Toy Directive
Our client is a growing organisation with a newly appointed CEO who, is looking to diversify the company product range into more lucrative markets with higher profit margins from it's product ranges. The organisation product ranges focus on the consumer product and FMCG sector with a electronics and toys making the bulk of its products. This is a chance for somebody with perhaps a regulatory bakground or electronic engineering background to take on a compliance function.
As a Regulatory Officer you will be trhe technical regulatory expert covering regulations such as WEEE (Electrical and Electronic Waste) and monitoring the Trading and Consumer Product Safety Law
You will be expected to work with the Toy Product Safety Directive ensuring its compliance.
Advise the company on changing EU and International regulations that may affect it's products. Given the company is expanding into the market of toy Drones, perhaps a long term area will be Aviation compliance.
Checking compliance of suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Educated to degree level within Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related areas. Emphasis will be on experience
Knowledge and qualifications in Trading and Consumer Product Safety law
Experience and knowledge with New Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC
Experience and kowledge with WEEE / Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive
Regulaotry Experience within Consumer Products /FMCG
