Job Details
The Centre for Prions and Protein Folding Disease (CPPFD) within the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta is currently accepting applications for the role of Student Lab Assistant. This position will be primarily responsible for assisting with cleaning of the lab.
Duties
- Uses Cage Washer, Bottle Washer and Autoclave Machine to wash dirty cages and bottles
- Stacks clean cages onto the carts
- Removes the garbage bags to the dumpsters
- Cleans up facility floor and carts
- Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Current student enrolled in diploma or degree program in lab technology, sciences or related program preferred
- Ability to take direction
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
