Springer Nature, seeks a Business Development Associate
This exciting position will report to the Head of Business Development * Dealmakers, and will be tasked with supporting revenue generation to achieve financial targets, on a range of products developed for the biopharma marketplace. The role will be responsible for assisting in growing sales in established products such as the BioPharma Dealmakers and MedTech Dealmakers advertising supplements plus associated online products. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for gathering information and intelligence on clients and prospects for the business development team.

Working directly with business development teams and senior executives in pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medtech companies, university technology transfer offices, venture capital and related industries, the Business Development Associate will use their consultative sales skills and analytical skills to assist the business development team to build and develop strong relationships and networks within the biopharma community. Occasional will travel will be required. An understanding of the biotech sector and its support industries alongside the BioPharma portfolio including Nature Biotechnology, Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Nature Medicine, Nature Chemical Biology will be essential to the role.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and motivated self-starter who has an aptitude for new business sales, market research, and relationship management. He/she should ideally have at least two years business development or sales experience, and preferably good knowledge of the biotech sector.
