QA Manager , Chemical £40-50k

A speciality chemicals company is looking to take on a Quality Assurance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to take on a diverse role, where the successful candidate will be working on a COMAH site and be exposed to APIs in a quality assurance focused role; which will really enhance their professional portfolio.

This is a mid sized company so THE Quality Assurance Manager will get the opportunity to take on varied responsibilities and will not get pigeon holed into narrow roles. It is important that the successful candidate is prepared to really expand on the Quality Assurance experience they have and appreciates how this will make them very attractive in the eyes of any future employers.

Typical Duties Include:

• Managing and overseeing new quality related projects on site. Projects can be varied in time length from 1 to 3 years depending on depth and reach.
• To maintain all regulatory submissions and associated documents e.g. CEP's, DMF's - this will be site specific.
• To manage overall department performance, financial, objective setting, appraisals, training and development, recruitment and disciplinary measures. Direct reports include administration level employees.
• To have accountability for all aspects of the site quality assurance function, which includes compliance to external quality standards, regulations and legislation.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Quality Assurance professional with more than 3 years work experience in quality assurance.
• At least some experience working in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Experience with Project Management
• Strong experience in Quality Management Systems
