Minimum Requirements:

Professor

• A PhD in Communication in English.
• At least 5 years lecturing experience at University level.
• 10 to 15 research publications,

Associate Professor

• A PhD in Communication in English.
• At least 5 years lecturing experience at University level.
• 8 to 10 research publications.

Senior Lecturer

• A PhD in Communication in English.
• At least 3 to 5 years lecturing experience at University level.
• At least 4 research publications.

Lecturer

• A Master’s degree in Communication in English.
• At least 1 years lecturing experience at University level.
• Experience in research is an added advantage.

Addition Recommendations:

• Experience in E- learning.
• Computer literacy in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet use.
• Experience in programme accreditation.
• Experience in curriculum development and mixed mode delivery.

Summary of Duties:

• Undertake teaching and assessment duties in communication in English.
• Undertake research activities.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
• The successful candidate, if appointed as a lecturer, will be required to complete a Doctoral Degree qualification within 5 years of appointment.
