Minimum Requirements:
Professor
- A PhD/D Ed/ D tech in Biology/ Life Sciences, with a first Degree in Science, a Diploma in Education.
- At least 10 Years teaching experience in Biology/ Life Sciences.
- At least 10 years publication records in accredited journals is essential.
- Evidence of post graduate supervision.
Associate Professor
- A PhD/D Ed/ D tech in Biology/ Life Sciences, with a first Degree in Science, a Diploma in Education.
- At least 10 years teaching experience in Biology/ Life Sciences.
- At least 10 years publication records in accredited journals is essential.
- Evidence of post graduate supervision.
Senior Lecturer
- A PhD/D Ed/ D tech in Biology/ Life Sciences, with a first Degree in Biology/ Life Sciences, a Diploma in Education.
- At least 5 years teaching experience in Biology/ Life Sciences.
- Proven research track record is an added advantage.
Lecturer
- M Ed/ M Tech in Biology/ Life Sciences, with a first degree in Biology/ Life Sciences, A Diploma in Education.
- At least 3 to 5 years teaching experience in Biology/ life Sciences.
- Experience in research is added advantage.
Addition Recommendations:
- Understanding of Tertiary Institution imperatives e.g. SAQA, NQF and current trends in South African Education Context.
Summary of Duties:
- Lecture at all levels in B Ed (Natural Science) Biology/ Life Sciences in particular.
- Preparing notes and study guides.
- Undertake administrative duties as assigned by the Head of school.
