Finance Administrator

Faculty: Commerce

Requirements include:

• Matric with accounting or an equivalent relevant qualification (e.g. Bookkeeping)
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a financial environment
• Good communication, written and numeracy skills;
• The ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work accurately under pressure;
• The ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal supervision
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Computer literacy (Proficiency in Excel)
• Problem solving ability
• High client service orientation

Advantageous:

• UCT financial administration experience
• Knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system
• Experience in a purchasing environment

Responsibilities include:

• Provide a range of financial administration and support services including Purchasing in line with UCT policies, procedures and authorisation
• Produce monthly purchasing and procurement card reports (KPI)
• Check documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance with UCT policies & procedures before sending on for processing
• Client service and feedback within turnaround times
• Interact with clients in a professional manner
• Filing and archiving of all data
• Complete Ad Hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager.
