Study Director Plant Metabolism Environmental fate

This will be of appeal to those from a mid level Study director level to join a leading customer service sector provider offering environmental testing, regulatory services and Toxicology services.

Acting as a provider to a number of sectors ranging from environmental to chemical, our client offers one of the most anticipated consultancies of 2013. Our client seeks an Plant Metabolism Study Director to be involved in plant, soil or animal metabolism. You will be able to demonstrate a sound level to move into an established senior role and with the ability to manage studies.

You will design and conduct of metabolism studies for soils, plants, and animals, for new product development based (EPA, EU, OECD Guidelines)

You will review and interpret E-fate, plant and animal metabolism studies designed to evaluate the residue profile and identification of relevant metabolites.

Whilst the position can and will be tailored around a particular candidate, this position will seek candidates who display a solid background within Environmental fate and metabolism studies. More senior levels can be offered, especially to those who have Plant metabolism experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Broad scientific knowledge in environmental fate, residue, and metabolic chemistry, or similar field with 1-5 yrs experience working in industry or CRO. Agricultural Chemicals experience is strongly preferred but not a core requirement (range of levels possibly provided)

Hands on experience in the areas of environmental fate, metabolism, and or residue chemistry Applicants must have hands-on experience working with 14C radioisotopes with strong HPLC and radiodetection experience.

Significant knowledge of regulatory and GLP requirements for environmental fate, metabolism, and residue chemistry studies.
